Ryan Lovell serves as Managing Director of the Investment Group for The John Buck Company. His responsibilities include sourcing acquisition and development opportunities, structuring joint ventures, and overseeing asset management.

Prior to joining The John Buck Company, Ryan worked at Tishman Speyer in the acquisitions group. While at Tishman Speyer, he initially focused on underwriting acquisitions and developments in New York City spanning office, multifamily, and senior living. Ryan then transitioned to underwriting new U.S. asset classes and markets, and developed the life science investment thesis that led to Breakthrough Properties, a $3.5 billion joint venture platform with Bellco Capital. Prior to Tishman Speyer, Ryan worked for Citigroup in New York, Shanghai, and Hong Kong.

Ryan earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Real Estate Finance at Southern Methodist University’s Cox School of Business. He then earned his Master of Business Administration in Economics and Finance from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
