Sears engaged JBC to update, reposition, and re-lease this iconic, single-occupant-designed tower in the wake of Sears’ departure to the suburbs. Reconfiguring the massive space for multi-tenant use required building additional lobby levels and modifying all of its 101 elevators in what was, at the time, the world’s tallest building. JBC created new service enhancements and amenities to expand tenant relationships and make the huge building feel more personal from a service perspective. Finally, we created extraordinary value for building ownership through several significant financial management improvements.
