Built as the Union Trust Building, this was the first high-rise bank in the city designed by a Washington architectural firm – in this case Wood, Donn & Deming. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1984, the property management and amenity upgrades had to be done with particular sensitivity to the fabric of the structure: a JBC specialty. Notably, the building recently received LEED EBOM Gold Certification.
